
How to Get Your Kazakhistan Diplomatic and Official Visa
DIPLOMATIC (A1)
You can apply for an "A1" category Diplomatic visa (single entry up to 90 days / multiple entries up to 1 year) if you are:
- Head of State, Government, International Organization, and members of their families with diplomatic status;
- Member of Parliament, International organization, and members of official delegations holding diplomatic passports;
- Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan.
You can also apply for the "A1" category Diplomatic visa (single entry up to 90 days / multiple entries up to 120 days within 1 year) if you are:
- Holder of a diplomatic passport or equivalent diplomatic status passport;
- Diplomatic courier with official courier's papers.
DIPLOMATIC (A2)
You can apply for the "A2" category Diplomatic visa (single entry up to 90 days / multiple entries up to 180 days) if you are:
- Diplomatic agent or equivalent representatives of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Kazakhstan, traveling to Kazakhstan for official work;
- Honorary Consuls of foreign states accredited in Kazakhstan and their family members.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:
- Valid Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the validity of the requested visa and should have at least two blank pages for the visa and entry/exit stamps.
- Visa Application: A separate visa application form must be completed for each person. All fields must be filled out; incomplete applications may be rejected. Download the visa application form.
- Visa Fee Payment: $0
- Photo: One passport-size photo (3.5cm x 4.5cm or 5 x 5cm) of the applicant, attached in the upper right-hand corner of the application form.
- Verbal Note or Visa Support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan: A Verbal Note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your country, addressed to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan, requesting the issuance of a visa. It should include your name, the purpose of your trip, your contact in Kazakhstan, the dates of your trip, and places you intend to visit.
- Photocopy of Your Passport’s Main Page: Provide a clear copy of the main page of your passport.

- Diplomatic visa applications must be submitted in person.
