How to Get Your Kazakhistan Work Visa

WORK VISA – C3

You can apply for a C3 category Working Visa (single entry up to 90 days, in some cases up to 1 year / multiple entry up to 3 years; for Astana International Financial Centre workers up to 5 years) if you are:

• A foreigner visiting Kazakhstan for work, including family members.

Required Documents

• Invitation letter with a visa support number from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan and an Employment Contract;
• Visa application form (completed properly in block letters);
• One recent color passport-sized photo (attached to the marked space in the upper right-hand corner of the application form). Photo requirements: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, full face, no smiling, sunglasses, hat/cap or head covering removed (except for religious or ethnic reasons). Background: white;
• Passport (with at least two blank pages, valid at least 3 months beyond the requested visa validity);
• One copy of passport.

WORK VISA – C4

You can apply for a C4 category Working Visa (single entry up to 90 days / multiple entry up to 3 years) if you are:

• An adult foreigner visiting Kazakhstan for self-employment in professions in demand within priority economic sectors.

Required Documents

• Invitation letter with a visa support number from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan and an Employment Contract;
• Visa application form (completed properly in block letters);
• One recent color passport-sized photo (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, full face, no smiling, sunglasses, hat/cap or head covering removed unless for religious/ethnic reasons, background white);
• Passport (with at least two blank pages, valid at least 3 months beyond the requested visa validity);
• One copy of passport.

WORK VISA – Business Immigrant (C5)

You can apply for a C5 category Working (Business Immigrant) Visa (single entry up to 90 days / multiple entry up to 2 years; in some cases up to 3 years) if you are an adult visiting Kazakhstan for entrepreneurial activity.

Required Documents

For single entry up to 90 days and multiple entry up to 2 years (ethnic Kazakhs – up to 3 years):

• Medical certificate confirming absence of diseases prohibiting entry to Kazakhstan;
• Medical insurance;
• Document confirming presence or absence of a criminal record issued by the authorized body of your country of citizenship or permanent residence;
• Document confirming the existence or absence of a ban on entrepreneurial activity based on a court decision issued by the authorized body of your country of citizenship or permanent residence, if required by law;
• Invitation letter with a visa support number from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan;
• Visa application form (completed properly in block letters);
• One recent color passport-sized photo (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, full face, no smiling, sunglasses, hat/cap or head covering removed unless for religious/ethnic reasons, background white);
• Passport (with at least two blank pages, valid at least 3 months beyond the requested visa validity);
• One copy of passport;
• Bank statement (last 6 months).

Visa Fees

• Single Entry – 80 USD
• Multiple Entry – 200 USD
• Multiple Entry up to 2 years – 400 USD
• Multiple Entry up to 3 years – 600 USD

Receiving Your Passport

• You can get your passport in person or arrange for a courier to collect it.
